Installation
Solid and engineered floorboards installation
- We specialise in installation of T&G solid timber floorings using ‘standard’ profile for top (face) nailing or ‘secret nail profile’ for top nailing and concealed fixing. It is recommended for structural flooring to have minimum 19mm thickness when laid directly to joists or battens. This type of flooring is being sanded and polished after installation.
- The use of pre-finished solid timber flooring is considered as substitute alternative, where boards have been factory pre-coated. Thickness of this type of flooring is generally 18mm.
- Each timber flooring is supplied with different type of grade. The grade relates to the number and size of features in the flooring. At K2 we consult placement of features (gum veins) of the flooring with clients prior to installation in order to satisfy their aesthetic expectations.
- We do not differentiate and provide installation to all surfaces including concrete, particle boards, plywood, installation over the joists and more.
